Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Home with Care for?

My services are primarily aimed at English and Dutch-speaking seniors, but people with intellectual disabilities, chronic conditions or temporary support needs are also welcome.

Thanks to my experience in elderly care and disability care, I provide support tailored to the personal wishes and needs of each client.

Are the costs covered by health insurance?

Home with Care is a private support service and our services are not automatically covered by health insurance.

Depending on your personal circumstances and country of residence, there may be options to use a personal care or support budget to help cover the cost of support.

For example, in the UK, some people may be eligible for a Personal Budget, Direct Payment or Personal Health Budget. Eligibility and the way these budgets can be used depend on the individual's circumstances and the relevant local authority or NHS service.

If you are unsure whether this may apply to you, please feel free to contact us and we can discuss your situation.

Will family members be kept informed?

Yes.

In consultation with your family member, I can keep you informed about how things are going.

After a visit, I can provide a short update via WhatsApp, email or phone.

This allows you to stay involved from a distance while having peace of mind that everything is going well.

Do you also provide support with personal care and medication?

Yes.

I can provide support with washing, dressing, mobility and everyday personal care.

I can also remind you to take your medication or assist with handing over medication.

Nursing or medical procedures, such as injections or wound care, are not part of my services.

If necessary, I am happy to help you find a suitable solution or coordinate with a nurse or other healthcare professional.

How does the introductory meeting work?

Every new collaboration with Home with Care starts with a free, no-obligation introductory meeting at your home.

During this meeting, I take the time to get to know you and, if desired, your family.

I listen to your wishes, needs and the type of support you are looking for.

After the meeting, you will receive a proposal tailored to your personal situation if you wish.

Only when you feel comfortable with the proposal do we start the support.

There is absolutely no obligation to use my services after the introductory meeting, and there are no costs involved.
